Texas A&M International University offers its students free textbooks and course materials this semester through the pilot program made possible through the funding of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021, a public law signed on Dec. 27, 2020. Greek organizations aid local animal shelter By Melissa GarzaCopy EditorPublished Monday, Sept. 6, 2021 Two of TAMIU’s Greek organizations organized a multi-day event to help a Laredo animal shelter. Members of the organizations rallied students to raise money and donate supplies. The organizations hosting the “Animal Health and Salvation Event” were the Delta Xi Nu sorority, collaborating with the Sigma Lambda Beta fraternity. Benefits went toward the Laredo Animal Protective Society. The efforts spanned for two weeks back in late March.
