After all, the expression is “Go big or go home.” “Go big” they did. More than 450 volunteers painted, worked in yards and picked up trash—just a few of the types of activities students engaged in to help through the Big Event on Saturday, March 26. Research shows that students who suffer from food insecurities are more likely to have attention problems and be poorly prepared. Many schools created a student pantry to help prevent hunger. In October 2017, Dusty's Food Pantry was created, with the help of the Division of Student Success, to eliminate hunger among Texas A&M International University students. A group of mostly arts and communication students decided to create a photography club this Spring 2022 semester to promote interest in the career and hobby.
