After an activity-filled Welcome Week, TAMIU ended Fall 2025’s first week with CABchella on Friday, Aug. 29.
The night was filled with eccentric musical performances by Garden’s Gate, Japanese Dream, LOUIEJAYXX and Synthia Music at Texas A&M International University.

CABchella ends Welcome Week with a fireworks show on the night of Aug. 29, 2025.
Savory smells roamed the air from the free food for currently enrolled students by 550 Pizzeria, Gorilla Smoke and Grill, Taquitos Las Minas and Bubble Waffle.

The event also included inflatable games for students.
Junior Carol Luviano and sophomore Barbara Infante both attended the event for the second time since first attending TAMIU.
Although both came for the free food, they hope to see more activities like this at TAMIU.
“I kind of like this environment,” Infante said. “I hope they do something like this again this year.”
Events like this bring in connection, involvement and people.
“You can get involved and connect more,” Luviano said.
CABchella ended its music-filled night with bright and luminescent fireworks as people gathered together under the night’s glowing sky.
