Hooters and similar restaurants featuring scantily clad women have been around since the early 1990’s; and with their inception came along an influx of controversy. A New Way of Living

By Jonathan Ramos Despite the fact that millennials are living at home with their parents longer than previous generations, they are choosing to follow their passions instead of hunkering down to find a traditional job with decent 401k plan, and also infiltrating the minds of traditional thinkers with the use of political correctness.  The infamous millennials have found a new way to piss off older generations.  They have revamped the idea of commune or community living and flipped it on its head. Ayala Global Pigmentocracy is a society in which blacks, Asians, and Latinos have different social statuses pertaining to their skin color.  For example, in the United States, people with lighter-skin color statistically have higher education as well as incomes than darker-skinned individuals.  Pigmentocracy is a strong form of discrimination that not only emphases one’s skin color, but one’s hair texture as well.  Throughout history, pigmentocracy has unknowingly stigmatized Blacks, Asians, and Latinos. Free Speech?

By Jasmine Speer Recently University of Toronto’s Dr .Jordan B. Petersen held a speech rally supporting his idea to refuse using gender pronouns for transgender people.  He made controversial statements in his rally, there is a video of extreme importance on YouTube that surfaced, revealing Doctor Jordan B. Petersen’s opinions on  Canadian Parliamentary Bill C-16: a bill that would legalize punishment for people who refuse to use binary gender pronouns.  Moreover, a certain type of censorship occurred at the rally where the Jordan Petersen held his speech.  People who did not agree with his views deliberately silenced him by turning on a white noise machine to make his speech extremely difficult to hear for audience to hear. Battlefield 1 Brings History Back to Video Games

Battlefield 1, developed by Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts (EA), released on October 21.  The first-person shooter game is the first in the Battlefield franchise and one of the very few video games to be set during the First World War.  Its historical setting is very important in a time when video games, particularly first-person shooters, are often presented in futuristic and science fiction settings. Sí Texas – Juntos for Better Health Program: Reconnecting the community and their health

As we grow older, it is often easy to come and neglect our health. Time constraints, conflicting work schedules, and lack of transportation are typically several reasons we like to tell ourselves when it comes to dealing with our health and seeking help. As part of the TAMIU School of Nursing, the Si Texas- Juntos for Better Health Program aims to fix all these problems. For the past two semester, the program has been slowly evolving into what is now. Since October of last year, nursing students were already providing education to patients regarding their health.
